Back in September, I spent a few weeks over on the eastern shore of Virginia. Newport News, Chesapeake, VA Beach… While there I found an AMA Club (Academy of Model Aeronautics) that on the AIRMAP App appeared ot be *in* the water! When I looked at the name of the club, Smithfield RC Float Flyers, I was even more intrigued!. Being a member of AMA myself, I looked up the club, contacted the POC, and the following week I had an invite to join the club on one of their Thursday Morning Fly Days.
The club is on a privately owned piece of property, a man made lake and they fly floaty planes (water) Fixed Wing Aircraft. Please enjoy the video below!
