The Art & Soul of it…

Greetings my good friends! How fare ye in your corner of the world as I hear of 100-degree F days from lots of my friends around the globe??

I’m still driving a big rig locally, but the adjustment has been a huge challenge for me. I’m still looking forward to joining the Transportation Team at BRCC hopefully in the fall. I feel I’ve done most of what I can do on the driving side and am excited to move into the sharing-what-I’ve-learned role. While I’ve been driving, I’ve heard bits and pieces about the training side of commercial driving undergoing changes regarding graduation requirements in an effort to improve the skills of new drivers pursuing a CDL-License and embarking on their trucking career.

I have slowly been getting a studio organized at the farm in the loft. With my first 2022 piece of art made (and sold!), I continue organizing and creating. I have also set up a Zen Room where I am resuming my Energy & Body work. I am a 2nd Degree Reiki Practitioner, plus CranioSacral Therapist. I combine Cranio with SomatoEmotional Release, Myofascial Release, Visceral Manipulation, and Reiki. It’s truly amazing work. I was trained back in 1999-2001, when I worked full-time in a Chiropractor’s office. More on that to come!

I work the barn one day per week at the farm tending to the horses, and building new skills. I’ve been enjoying that.

I really signed on to share my newest art piece with you all. Another watercolor piece. This piece is of a hummingbird at my good friend and fellow artist/creator Lynne’s AirBnB cottage near Carlisle, PA. YES! she designed and built said cottage and is in process of building a second dwelling unit! (I believe they broke ground this month!) Lynne also writes and does very intricate tilework art. I met her in 2021 when I was stationed in Carlisle, PA, and we’ve been friends ever since. What a blessed soul she is! Hopefully she will delight in seeing this piece.

Off to chill and mentally prepare for tomorrow’s haul. I’ll be out for two-four days on this coming haul.
